General Description of Duties.

Prepares accounting reports and statements requested by immediate supervisor. Posts to and prepares reports from general ledger accounts. Performs other clerical duties as requested by immediate supervisor.

 

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Prepares bank reconciliation statements.

Posts entries in general ledger Journals after verifying accuracy of information.

Prepares special reports from computer printouts and accounting statements under supervision of senior accountant.

Prepares trial balances.

Performs office duties such as report verification, duplications, and distribution.

Answers questions by users of reports for which she/he is responsible.

 

JOB SPECIFICATION

 

1. Formal Education : Year 12

2. Specialized Skills

a. Type 60 words per minute with 3 or fewer mistakes.

b. Ability to take shorthand.

c. Ability to operate standard office equipment.

d. Computer literate. Experience with Mind Your Own Business accounting software

d. Knowledge of filing systems.

e. Good command of English, especially spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

3. Experience : At least three years
