Job purpose: To provide an efficient milk and food products delivery service to customers in the designated rounds area. To increase sales at every opportunity through increasing sales per customer and/or increasing the number of customers. To ensure that monies owed are collected weekly. To maintain a positive company image through friendliness and courtesy at all times.

 
 
Key result areas:
 
1. Product knowledge: To have sufficient product knowledge to answer customer queries concerning storage, ingredients and general production methods.
 
2. Vehicle care & loading: To load the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy. To check oil, water, lights, brakes and tyres on a daily basis. To drive in accordance with legal requirements at all times.
 
3. Bookwork: To update rounds books weekly in accordance with the company system.
 
4. Delivery: To complete all deliveries efficiently and courteously in accordance with customer orders.
 
5. Sales: To increase sales to new and existing customers to targets agreed with the depot manager.
 
6. Credit: To collect monies owed to the company on a weekly basis allowing a maximum of four weeks' credit per customer and collecting at least 80 per cent (or other figure as may be agreed with depot manager) each week.
